Which Gresham Blake Store do you work at and how long have you been with the contemporary tailor Gresham Blake?
I work in the Gresham Blake Head Office in Brighton and have been with the company since June 2014. I started at Gresham Blake as an Intern; I am on a placement year at the University of Brighton, studying Fashion and Business.
Having completed my internship I now look after the corporate side of the business. Gresham Blake produce a tailored corporate uniform, that not only underlines the image of your brand, but also a practical uniform for general every day-to-day use. We offer a unique personal service when designing your tailored corporate uniform, from fabric to fit, giving a truly slick and unique look to your company.
What did you do before you came to Brighton?
I worked in the hotel industry for around 13 years, in many roles, during which time I qualified to be a hairdresser. A desire to become a fashion designer and follow my ambitions brought me back to university as a mature student. Thus far this has been the best decision I have ever made.
As well as an interest in fashion and tailoring, what keeps you entertained outside of office hours?
Well my University course keeps me busy. But outside of that I love watching most sports, in particular football.
You must see and create a lot of different suits in your role, what type of suit excites you the most?
I really like a nice BIG peak lapel!
What style of suit do you prefer to wear yourself?
I like a three piece suit, shawl lapel waistcost and big peak lapel
Who is your suit wearing hero?
At the moment I'm loving Paul Newmans style. The sepia lenses on his glasses teamed with him in a classic 80's suit with a roll neck in the film 'The Colour Of Money' is a great look!
