The wedding was held at the trendy Asylum chapel in Peckham in November 2018, so we had plenty of time to create this bespoke masterpiece.
Alex had a really good idea of the final look he wanted to achieve, but needed, so Luke offered just the right amount the guidance & expertise to get that perfect result.
The goal was to achieve a suit that would have a slim, clean and sharp silhouette, akin to the 60s, but combined with the overall aesthetic from the early 1900s. The suit material would play heavily in this, being slightly thicker to match Alex’s winter wedding.
A double breasted waistcoat was a must. A classic style, which creates a really nice line into the waist, helping to accentuate the shoulder width.
After looking at several different tweeds Luke & Alex settled on a Moons denim coloured Tweed. With a burgundy lining, this was a colour theme to the wedding as you can see in the buttonhole he wears.
As you can see all the elements combined have produced some amazing images. Alex had this to say
“I loved everything about my experience with Gresham Blake, Luke was fantastic and completely understood my vision from the very start. The suit I ended up with was exactly what I had in my mind’s eye. I received endless compliments on the day, giving me both a suit and memories that I will treasure forever.”
